
A Level- III fire brokeout at Hydro Cracker plant at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited-RMPin Mumbai'sChembur area on Wednesday.
Forty-three people have received minor wounds including one person who has been criticallyinjured, ANI said.
After preliminary treatment at BPCL First Aid Centre, 22were allowed to go home while 21were shifted to Inlax hospital, Chembur forfractures andlacerated wounds. One is being treated in ICU.
An explosion was first heard at the fuel plant at around 3:00 pm reports said.
The fire is now under control.
Ninefire tenders, two foam tenders, and two jumbo tankers were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. Firefighting operation is underway.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Officials are investigating the matter further.
