Watch: Delhi Metro ramp railing falls on track after rains

A portion of railing on the ramp in the underground Metro route in Jangpura station towards Lajpat Nagar elevated station fell on Thursday causing disruption in services.

The incident reportedly occurred due to the impact of wind and rain which lashed the national capital on Thursday afternoon.

The ramp fell on the tracks going towards Faridabad, however, there were no reports of any casualties.

The approaching metro train towards Lajpat Nagar wasput on hold due to the obstruction. The passengers were taken safely to the Lajpat Nagar platform, reports said.

Authorities have made arrangements to remove the railing from the track. The Metro services on the route are now being run on alternate loops till the railing is removed, authorities said.
