Vyapam scam: CBI files fresh charge sheet against former Madhya Pradesh minister, 84 others

The CBI has filed a charge sheet against 87 accused in the Vyapam scam.
Former Madhya Pradesh minister Laxmikant Sharma has also been named in the charge sheet.
The case relates to alleged irregularities in the Samvida Shala Shikshak Patrata Pariksha Varg-3 Examination-2011 in Madhya Pradesh conducted by Vyapam.
The Supreme Court directed the CBI to take over the case in July 2015.
Investigations revealed that test scores of 84 candidates were increased to make them pass the test.
According to the CBI, the accused public servants and other suspects had allegedly given details of these candidates to the then principal system analyst to increased their marks.
