Assembly Poll Results 2024 highlights: SKM retains power in Sikkim after landslide victory; BJP wins Arunachal polls

Our Party will keep working with even greater vigour for the state’s growth," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a post X. 

In a separate post, he also praised the party workers in the state. "I would like to appreciate the hardwork of the exceptional @BJP4Arunachal Karyakartas through the election campaign. It is commendable how they went across the state and connected with the people."

The ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) returned to power in landslide victory after winning 31 out of the 32 seats in the state. The one other seat was won by Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF). 

BJP wins Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Elections as it has won 40 seats of the total 60, and is leading in five.

SKM, on the other hand, will retain power in Sikkim as it has won 21 seats of the total 32, and is leading in 10. 

The SKM has now won 19 seats in Sikkim and is leading in 12. 

The SKM has won 18 seats so far and is leading in 13 others, data from the Election Commission showed. 

The BJP has registered victory in 23 seats in Arunachal, and is leading in 23 other seats, taking the tally to 46.

Sikkim CM and Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) chief Prem Singh Tamang, who is contesting the Assembly elections from Rhenock and Soreng-Chakung seats, is leading on both the seats. SKM crossed the halfway mark; leading on 29 seats. The majority mark in the Sikkim Assembly is 17 out of 32 Assembly seats.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu-led BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh is set to retain power as the party has crossed the majority mark, leading in 30 seats in the early trends.

The BJP has already won 10 seats unopposed in Arunachal. Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein have already won their respective seats.

As per the Election Commission data, the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 30 seats in Arunachal Pradesh including--Lumla, Kalaktang, Koloriang, Nacho, Likabali, Basar, Along (West), Along (East) and others.

As per the early trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading on 16 seats in Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections results, while in Sikkim, the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) is leading on 26 seats.

As per the Election Commission data, BJP has already registered victory in 10 seats in Arunachal Pradesh unopposed, while the party is leading in 16 seats including--Lumla, Kalaktang, Koloriang, Nacho, Likabali, Basar, Along (West), Along (East) and others.

The ruling BJP crossed the halfway mark; won 10 seats leading on 23. National People's Party is leading on 8 seats, People's Party of Arunachal on 3 seats. The majority mark in the State Assembly is 31 out of 60 Assembly seats. The BJP won 10 seats unopposed.
