VHP promises nationwide protest after CIA classifies it as 'militant religious outfit'

The Hindu nationalist group,Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has threatened of a nationwide protest on Friday if the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States does not removethe group from "militant religious outfit," category; media reports said on Friday.
Along with VHP, Bajrang Dal was also classified as militant religious outfit while Rashtriya Swayam Sevak labelled as a religious organisation.
According to media reports, following the CIA report, both Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad are exploring legal options to counter CIA.
Under the headline, ''political pressure groups and leaders,'' in the government of India category, other groups are also mentioned in the book. All Parties Hurriyat Conference in the Kashmir Valley is labelled as a separatistgroup. The Jamiat Ulema-e Hind was tagged as areligious organisation.
