Police have claimed the class X Vadodara boy accused of murdering a schoolmate did so because his teachers scolded him for not doing his homework.
ANI quoted DCP RS Bhagora as saying the accused had been given homework, which he hadn't done. That led to a scolding.
Bhagora claimed the accused, to get his revenge, then decided to do something close down theschool. So he stabbed and killed a schoolmate.
Bhagora added that the suspect's parents said he was violent in nature.
The murder had taken place on Friday, in the school toilet.
News reports said the suspect did not know his victim, a class IX boy who had joined school only 10 days earlier.
The body of the 14-year-old victim was found with several stab wounds. A 12-inch knife lay nearby.
A satchel recovered from the roof of a temple adjacent to the school contained more sharp-edged weapons, and a bloodstained shirt.
Police said the suspect may have tossed the bag onto the roof of the temple from one of the classrooms.
