US officials to reach India for trilateral meeting with Japan
Top US diplomat will be in Delhi today for the India-US-Japan trilateral meeting that will go on from Wednesday to Friday.
US State Department official in-charge of the East Asia and Pacific affairs will be leading the delegation from Washington.
The Trump administration seeks to strengthen ties with India and Japan to counter China. Washington has an overhauled policy for the Indo-Pacific region in place.
Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visited Japan last week to co-chair the ninth India-Japan Strategic Dialogue.
