The Central Bureau of Investigation has booked the MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in a criminal conspiracy case for falsely implicating Unnao rape victim's father in a case.
The victim's father, who died in police custody, was arrested after the family attempted to commit suicide outside Chief Minister Adityanath's Lucknow residence.
The BJP MLA whois currently in police custody on charges of rapewas arrested on April 13 after an immediate order from the Allahabad High Court.
The CBI had earlier this month confirmed allegation of rape against him.
The MLA has been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing a woman to compel her for marriage,), 363 (kidnapping) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
