Union Minister and LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan,74, passed away on Thursday, his son Chirag Paswan announced today.

PM Modi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Home minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis called LJP chief Chirag Paswan and paid their condolences over the demise of Ram Vilas Paswan.
President Ram Nath Kovind while expressing condolences said: "In the demise of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the nation has lost a visionary leader. He was among the most active and longest-serving members of parliament. He was the voice of the oppressed, and championed the cause of the marginalized."
