At least 8 people died in various parts of north India due to a thunderstorm that struck the region on Wednesday.
The storm has claimed the lives of 3 people in Mathura, 4 people in Etawah and one in Agra.
In a data released by the Home Ministry on Wednesday, the number of deaths in the thunderstorms and lightning on May 2-3 accounted for 134 people. The data further stated that over400 people were injured in the storm in five statesincluding the hardest-hit Uttar Pradesh.
The IMD has also issued warning alert to at least 13 states.
