2 injured in terrorist attack at Sunjwan Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir

A team of heavily armed terrorists attacked an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Sunjwan area on Saturday. Two people - an Army constable and his daughter - sustained injuries following the attack.The camp is located on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
According to Army sources, gunshots were heard early in morning around 4:55 inside Army camp.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and the district administration has asked schools within 500 meters of the camp to remain shut.
The exact number of the terrorists involved in the attack is still not known. A report says the terrorist belong to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit.
Sources said that the target could have been the family quarters to create a hostage situation, but Security Forces managed to foil such attempt.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh also spoke to Director General of PoliceSP Vaid inJammu Kashmir regarding the attack.
The attackcomes a day after Afzal Guru's death anniversary; sources say intelligence inputs has warned an attack on the army or security establishment by Jaish-e-Mohammed around the death anniversary of Afzal Guru.
Afzal Guru was hanged on February 9, 2013, for his involvement in 2001 parliament attack.
