BJP worker Priyanka Sharma, who was released on bail on Wednesday said ''I'll fight the case, won't apologise''.

''My bail was granted yesterday, but I wasn't released for another 18 hours. They didn't allow me to meet my advocate and family. They made me sign an apology,'' she added.

Earlier Supreme Court pulled up the West Bengal government over the delay in the release Sharma who was arrested for sharing a meme of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

However, Sharma's lawyer told the apex court that she was released at 9:40-10:00 am.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to Sharma. While the apex court first asked the BJP worker to apologise to Mamata Banerjee, the condition was later waived off.

Sharma's counsel NK Kaul told the Supreme Court Sharma was forced to sign an apology letter prepared by the Police which stated that she will not post similar meme again.

Meanwhile, the top court said that it will hear Sharma's application seeking action against the West Bengal police authorities in July first week.
