Main Chennai Airport runway closed after SpiceJet plane tyre bursts on take-off

A SpiceJet plaane suffered a tyre burst at Chennai International Airport on Thursday.

The suspected tyre burst was reported during the take-off of the flight. After which the plane was turned back and landed safely at Chennai airport.

Following the incident, the runway at the Chennai airport was closed till 6 pm.

The plane was scheduled to fly from Chennai to New Delhi.

All the passengers in the flight were reported to be safe.
