Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu criticised the Modi government for not granting special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at Guntur earlier today, Naidu said that his party (TDP) aligned with the BJP "for the sake of doing justice to the state of Andhra Pradesh".He also noted that no justice has been meted out even after him visiting the capital city and meeting with various leaders for nearly 29 times.

"Even in the last budget, they did injustice to Andhra," the CM noted.

"On behalf of 5 crore people of Andhra, I'm demanding the central government to do justice to the state. I'm ready for debate on how much other states got and how much we got. I'm demanding PM and Union Ministers to do justice to Andhra," noted Chandrababu Naidu.

He also noted that he is ready to make any sacrifices for the justice of Telugu people.

The NDA ally TDP demanded concessions for the party.

The party had already initiated efforts to press the centre for various allocations to Andhra Pradesh. It also expressed its dissatisfaction with the Union budget claiming it has no provisions for the state.

The TDP also demanded implementation of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act in "keeping with the promise" made by the BJP.
