Congress president Rahul Gandhi has said "most Indian men don't see women as equals".

He added that the attitude needed to change and that he himself believed a woman can do anything a man can.

Gandhi was speaking in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh where he was meeting with college students.

"Most Indian men don't see women as equals, this attitude needs to change. I for one believe that women are as capable as men, and a woman can do anything than a man can do," ANI quoted Gandhi as saying.

Gandhi was in Kurnool to meet with Congress party workers and leaders. He had also scheduled meetings with the region's farmers and youth.
