Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal feature in Meghna Gulzar's period thriller 'Raazi'.
Alia Bhatt surely knows how to choose her films. Her last release- Badrinath Ki Dulhania- was a complete commercial film. Her latest, Meghna Gulzar's Raazi presents Alia in a very different role. The actress plays an Indian spy in the thriller which is based on a real-life story.
The makers- Junglee Pictures and Dharma Production- have been teasing fans with stills and posters of the film for a while now. On Tuesday morning, the film's trailer was released. The intriguing tale of how a young girl is trained as an Indian spy and married to a Pakistani army officer looks intriguing. Vicky Kaushal plays Alia's husband while Rajit Kapoor plays her father. The film also features Jaideep Ahlawat in a key role.
The film will explore Sehmat's life- as a daughter, a wife and a spy.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, whose last film Talvaar gained critical praise, Raazi is set to release in theatres on May 11th.
