Punjab's counter-intelligence service arrested four people working with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) on Tuesday. According to reports, the youths were radicalised by ISI agents on social media and were also involved in pro-Khalistani campaigns on social media.
Punjab Police's intelligence wing made the arrest while the agents were on their way to vandalise a liquor shop.
According to reports, ISI-led youths aimed at propagating a pro-Khalistani Facebook page, ‘Referendum -2020’, during the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.
Reports suggest that 'Referendum 2020' was being popularised in the state by pro-Khalistani elements based in Pakistan and Europe.
