Police file complaint against Rishi Kapoor for tweeting 'indecent and vulgar' image

Mumbai Police have filed a complaint against the veteran actor Rishi Kapoor for posting an "indecent and vulgar" image on Twitter.
The actor had been tweeting after the violence unleashed in North India by followers of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh after he was convicted of raping two of his followers on Friday.
Thirty-six people have died in the violence since then.
"Attach all Dera properties and sell them to compensate the national loss by arson and vandalism. Shame Gurmeet followers. No respect for you," Kapoor's first tweet said.
"Frauds. Blind faith in con people. Government must punish these fraudsters. Sukhwinder Kaur (Radhema) Gurmeet, Asaram, Nityananda. All Criminals!" his next tweet said.
It was after that that Kapoor posted the "indecent and vulgar" image.
Kapoor had been trying to make a point with the image which was captioned "inner voice".
He had probably been trying to make the point that people should listen to their own "inner voice" rather than submitting to the will of godmen but -- at least from the results -- one would have to say he was fairly wide of the mark.
