The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sealed Punjab National Bank's MCB Brady House branch in Mumbai on Monday.

MCB Brady house is the same branch where transactions related to PNB scam were carried out.

Last week, Punjab National Bank announced that it had discovered fraudulent transactions worth Rs 11,400 crore at MCB Brady House branch in Mumbai.

Nirav Modi who has now fled the country carried out these fraud transactions by using fake bank guarantees as a proof to other banks to extract money from them.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting a search operation and raided many showrooms across the country. Diamonds, gold, gems, jewellery, metal worth of crores has also been seized.

CBI arrested three officials of the PNB bank in connection with the scam.

Former deputy manager of Punjab National Bank, Gokulnath Shetty and Manoj Kharat, single window operator at PNB and Hemant Bhat, Authorised Signatory of the Nirav Modi Group of Firms were arrested on Saturday.
