PM Modi visits Lucknow, will lay foundation stone of 'Sant Kabir Research Academy' 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a two-day `Kabir Mahotsav` in Lucknow Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, besides laying a foundation stone of the Rs 25 crore proposed Sant Kabir Research Academy.

The academy will be based on the teachings and the philosophy of Saint Kabir.

The event is organised to mark the 500th death anniversary of Kabir Das.

The Mahotsav will be organised by the Ministry of Culture and will feature folk music, dance performances, and musical theatre, artists from all over the country.

Modi was received by Governor Ram Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, city mayor Sanyukta Bhatia and other state cabinet ministers and bureaucrats, an official said.

The Prime Minister will also offer a chadar at the mazaar of Kabir," read an official statement and will also address a public rally at Maghar.
