Popularly known as 'Sidi Saiyyid ki Jaali', the mosque -- which was built in 1573 -- is famous for its beautifully carved latticework (mesh) windows on the side and rear arches.

Buddhist monks have been brought in to welcome Shinzo Abe at the airport. (Reuters)

The monks will also participate in a road show of the two leaders.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will lay the foundation stone for India's first bullet train in Ahmedabad tomorrow. The Japanese PM, who is on a two-day visit to India, will be accompanied by Indian PM Narendra Modi.

PM Modi has made the 500-km-long high-speed rail link Mumbai and Ahmedabad a centerpiece of his efforts to showcase India's ability to build cutting-edge infrastructure.
