Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Essel Group's Yo1 Wellness Centre in New York, a 1,310-acre resort focusing on health, fitness and natural healing.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the august gathering via video conferencing.
"Yoga is not just about some asanas, it's a philosophy, a way of life," said PM Modi.
"Yoga has become a mass movement in the past three years," he added.
"I wish you (Essel Group) all the very best for the venture. Thank you very much," he said.
The centre, founded by media mogul Subhash Chandra, has state-of-art facilities and is a wellness destination that will offer therapies based on ancient Indian yoga and 'pranayam' techniques.

A dream project of Subhash Chandra, the centre is built on the Catskills Mountain in southeastern New York. It will provide employment to at least 500 people and indirect employment to more than 1500 people.
In an effort to acknowledge this unique effort, the New York State Assembly honoured Subhash Chandra on Wednesday evening, a day before 4th International Yoga Day.
"A dream is coming true. I would like to congratulate the whole world community on this International Day of Yoga," said Subhash Chandra.
