According to reports, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Nowshera sector of Rajouri earlier today.
The authorities decided to keep 71 schools closed after heavy shelling occurred in Lam area of Nowshera.
Shahid Choudhary, District Commissioner here has noted that the local authorities are taking adequate measures to ensure the safety of people.

Heavy shelling and firing were reported on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district from the Pakistani side on Tuesday.
Defence Ministry sources noted that the Indian positions retaliated to the firing, an exchange which kept on for nearly an hour.
