25-year-old Jitendra Kumar Yadav was allegedly shot at by a sub-inspector late night on Sunday. While the sub-inspector called it an “encounter”, Yadav's family alleged that the incident was a deliberate shooting.
The sub-inspector has been suspended after his arrest along with three other police personnel.
Yadav's family sharedthat the "fake encounter" was carried out "to get an out of turn promotion and win medals. This has been done earlier as well."
Yadav's kin has also threatened to protest against the police if the victim doesn't gain consciousness within 48 hours.
"We want a CBI inquiry into this fake encounter," Yadav's relative noted.
Jitendra Kumar Yadav was shot at by police last night in Sector 122, Noida. He was on his way back to his house in Parthala village. Yadav was accompanied by three friends during the incident.
