The National Green Tribunal has called for a meeting of Ministry of Agriculture and states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh on 28 November.
The NGT has also asked theNTPC to join the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 11 am.
The meeting is convened to decide on transportation and use of stubble.
The meeting will try to formulate a workable solution for stubble burning.
The Thermal Power plant has expressed its willingness to use agricultural residue in power plants. However, they can use it as five per cent of the fuel.
The NGT's decision is in response to the rising level of air pollutantin Delhi and adjoining states.
The pollution level rises after the farmers resort to stubble burning to clear off the agricultural fields for next season.
