Close battle between BJP and Congress in Haryana may lead to hung assembly

Haryana is headed for a hung assembly following a neck and neck fight between archrivalsBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
As per the official trends released by the Election Commission of India, the BJP is leading in 34 seats whereas Congress is leading in32 seats.
The majority mark in Haryana Assembly is 46.
Besides the two national parties, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) led by Dushyant Chautala is leading in fiveseats.
JJP has won five seats while BJP three and the Congress has won two seats, according to Indian Election Commission official website.
BJP's current vote share is 36.2 per cent followed byCongress which has 28.4 per cent vote share.
The close fight between the BJP and Congress witnessed almostfour lakh people voting for the formerand threelakh people choosing the latter. The BJP was projected to win around 75 seats in Haryana.
Theelections for 90 Assembly seats in Haryana were held on October 21 and the counting is currently underway in Gurugram.
