The doctor conducting the postmortems in the Kamala Mills fire deaths has said all them were caused by suffocation.

"Postmortem reveals that all the 14 deaths were due to to suffocation," ANI reported Dr Rajesh Dere as saying.

The fire at the Kamala Mills complex broke out at about 12.30 am Friday morning.

Eyewitness said the fire spread quickly and that there was a stampede since no one knew where the fire escape doors were.

The fire is thought to have been caused by a short circuit in the Above 1 restaurant.

An FIR has been has filed against the restaurant.

15 people died in the fire and another 14 were injured of which two are said to be critical.
