This record of Mumbai airport is being compared to London's Gatwick airport which handles 870 flights per day.

UK's Gatwick airport is the second largest airport and the most efficient single-runway airport in the world.

According to reports, Gatwick single-runway airport has handled about the capacity of 55 flights in an hour, while Mumbai has touched 52 movements in an hour.
