A 24-year-old MBA student hanged herself Sunday while on a video call with her boyfriend.
The student, identified as B Haneesha Chowdhary, was studying at the Sivasivani Institute of Management and is a resident of Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district.
Haneesha reportedly killed herself because of a disagreement with her boyfried.
"Aminor argument broke out between them after which she seems to have told him that she was going to end her life," police said.
"We don't have any confirmation that she committed suicide while the video call was on. However, she had spoken with her friend on video call before resorting to the extreme step. Her friend told us that the victim had said that she would hang herself. He also told us that he saw her hanging," police added.
Haneesha's body was sent for a post-mortem to a Secundrabad hospital.
Police have registered a case of suspicious death after her parents filed an FIR. An investigation is underway.
