Maharashtra Police's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), on Saturday, announced that the motorcycle used in the murder of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh has been seized, news agency ANI reported.

Karnataka Police's special investigation team (SIT), along with Maharashtra ATS, is investigating the case and links of the accused involved in Maharashtra, a senior official of Maharashtra Police's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) said late Saturday evening.

According to reports, the motorcycle was found during the probe.

Meanwhile, last month, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had announced the involvement of some of the accused arrested in the Lankesh case in the Dabholkar murder conspiracy.

The CBI is currently probing the Dabholkar murder case.

Narendra Dabholkar, a Maharashtra-based rationalist, was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants while returning home from a morning walk on August 20, 2013.

55-year-old anti-establishment voice, Gauri Lankesh, was shot dead by unknown assailants at her Bengaluru home on September 5, 2017.
