
The Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Sigh Chouhan has promised to pay an amount of Rs 1 crore to the wife of Rifleman Ramavatar who lost his life in ceasefire violation on Sunday.
The chief minister said that the soldier sacrificed his life for the safety of thenation and that his wife is the daughter of the entire state.
The compensation will be given to the soldier's wife as " samman rashi". Also, the parents of the deceased soldier will be given Rs 5,000 per month for life, the CM said.
Rifleman Ramavatr lost in lifeon Sunday after Pakistan violated ceasefire in the BG sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.
Four soldiers weremartyredand five others sustained injuries on Sunday in heavy shelling by Pakistani troops along LoC in Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
