DMK working President and M Karunanidhi's son MK Stalin clarified today that the health of his father was improving.
In his recent statement, Stalin said, "M Karunanidhi is recovering steadily as his fever is coming down".
94-year-old Karunanidhi’s health suffered a setback on Thursday and he is being monitored and treated round-the-clock at his Gopalapuram residence by a team of doctors and nursing professionals from Kauvery Hospital.
An AIADMK delegation led by Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Thursday called on ailing DMK president M Karunanidhi at his residence in Chennai.
The AIADMK delegation, which included ministers SP Velumani and P Thangamani, held discussions with Karunanidhi's son and party's working president M K Stalin.
Senior DMK leaders, including Duraimurugan and TR Baalu, were also present during the meeting.
PM Modion Friday said that he spoke with Karunanidhi's son MKStalin, who is the Leader of Opposition, and daughter Kanimozhi and enquired about the veteran leader's health.
"I pray for his quick recovery and good health," wrote PM Modi on Twitter and added that he has offered any assistance required.
