A former model accused her husbandof physically abusing her for not givinginto his demand for converting to Islamism.
The ex-model, Rashmi, residing in Mumbai said that her husband,Asif Shahbazkar, has been torturing and forcing her to convert to Islam for the past couple of years.
Shahbazkar,who has married anotherHindu woman half her age after giving in to his demand to convert to Islam, has now asked Rashmi to leave the house, reports said.
“He is now trying to evict me from our marital home. I am facing a serious threat to my life,” she told.
"I am a Hindu. I didn't give into his pressures," she added.
A case has been registered against the model's husband and his second wife by the Bandra Police.
Rashmi married in 2005 and gave birth to their son in 2010.
