Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Sunday(May 19) that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started "Operation Jhaadu" (Operation Broom) to ensure the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) doesn't grow big and become a challenge to the saffron party.

Addressing a gathering in New Delhi as the AAP began a protest march to the BJP headquarters, Chief Minister Kejriwal said that through Operation Jhaadu, AAP'sbigleaders wouldbe arrested, andthe party's bank accounts would be frozen.

'BJP made up fake cases, arrested us'

"ED's lawyer has already given this statement in court that soon afterthe electionAAP's bank accounts will be frozen, hesaid that if they freeze our accountnowwe will get sympathy...after the election, they will freeze our accounts,our office will be cleared outandwe will be broughtto streets. These are the3plans made by BJP," Kejriwal said.

The chief minister was arrested inMarchin connection with the Delhi excise policy case but is out on interim bail till June 1.

Kejriwal further said that the BJP has made up cases against AAP leaders and arrested them.

"Since I came to power in 2015, how many allegations did they (BJP) raise?...now they say that the liquor policy scam has happened, people are asking them if the scam happened, where is the money?...in other places when raid happens, notes and golds are recovered but herenothing was found...where is all the money?," he questioned.

Kejriwal leads AAP'smarchto BJPHQ

Kejriwal is leading the AAP's protest march to the headquarters of the BJP in New Delhi to protest the arrest of his aide Bibhav Kumar, who hasbeen arrestedin connection with the Swati Maliwal assault case.

Maliwal, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP, accused Kumar of assaulting her at Kejriwal's residence on May 13. Kumar was arrested on Saturday and was sent tofive-day police custody by the Delhi Police.
