India News- D-Dyanimcs exit poll has predicted a landslide victory for the incumbent National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha 2024 polls. It says the alliance may win 371 seats, just 29 short of the ambitious milestone of 400 seats. The poll predicted rival INDIA alliance to win 125 seats while the rest 47 may go to others.
The Republic Bharat- P Marq exit poll has given NDA 359 seats. On the other hand, INDIA alliance is likely to win 154 seats whereas the rest 30 may go to others.

To create awareness among the voters, a man arrived on a horse at a polling station to cast his vote in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday (June 1).
While talking to the media persons, he said, "In the 2012, 2017 & 2022 assembly elections and 2014 & 2019 Lok Sabha polls, I had arrived on horse to cast my vote."
Meanwhile in West Bengal, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in West Bengal informed that a mob looted reserve Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and threw two VVPAT machines inside a pond. Read More...

Hooghly Lok Sabha constituency's BJP candidate Locket Chatterjee cast her vote at a polling station in the last phase of Lok Sabha Elections2024.
Chatterjee said, "A large number of people have voted for BJP. Even the TMC people are upset about their party. BJP is going to get more than 30 seats in the state. There is a possibility that the TMC Govt can get toppled before 2026. Mamata Banerjee talks about democracy but the situation in West Bengal is the worst...Congress has no existence in the state..."

India's Home Minster and ruling party Bhartiya Janta Party's (BJP) member Amit Shah criticised Congress for distancing themselves from the exit poll debates ahead of the Lok Sabha 2024 election results.
The ruling party has remained confident of clinching a historic third term under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the elections.

"Today morning at 6.40 am (local time) Reserve EVMs & papers of Sector Officer near Benimadhavpur FP school, at 129-Kultali AC of 19-Jaynagar (SC) PC has been looted by local mob and 1 CU, 1 BU , 2VVPAT machines have been thrown inside a pond," said Chief Electoral Office in the Indian state of West Bengal in a post on X.
It added, "Sector Police was a little behind. FIR has been lodged by Sector Officer and necessary action has been initiated. Poll process in all six booths under the Sector is running uninterrupted. Fresh EVM and papers have been provided to the Sector Officer."

"People of Punjab are aware and they vote in large numbers. We should use our right to vote. I appeal to Punjabis to come out of their homes and vote and choose good representatives who can work for you," said Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann after casting his vote.
He added, "Today I cast my vote with my wife...There was some issue with VVPAT (at the polling booth) and the officials replaced it..."
Meanwhile, his wife, Dr Gurpreet Kaur urged women to "come out and vote in large numbers." She added, "We should also contribute to elect a good government that can work for us..."
