GES 2017 Day 1: Men should create opportunities for female entrepreneurs, says Ivanka Trump

The plenary session is concluded, marks the end of Day 1 at GSE.  

Create a climate that enables entrepreneurship, we have already spoken about tax reforms, access to capital and various other things. A person can benefit from our knowledge, I believe a personal guidance and mentoring can help people a lot. Mentorship is essential - Ivanka Trump concluded

Governments cannot keep generating jobs, People are no more looking up at the government for jobs, they are capable of creating jobs. We decided that this spirit of entrepreneurship must be kept up - Nirmala Sitharaman.

Today's plenary will be moderated by Executive Chairman & Former CEO at Cisco, Mr. John Chambers.

A team of chefs, led by executive Chef Sajesh Nair, will be preparing a five-course Hyderabadi meal for the dinner. Indigenous Hyderabadi ingredients will be used to dish out delectable preparations like Gosht Shikampuri, Qubani ka Malai Kofta among other authentic dishes.

A ride in a horse-drawn carriage and a rose petal shower may also await Ivanka at the regal dinner tonight. 

Prime Minister Modi will be hosting a lavish dinner for Ivanka Trump at Hyderabad's Falaknuma Palace later today. The dining hall can seat 101 guests at a time and is also the largest dining hall in the world. 

Besides inaugurating the summit, PM Modi is also expected to flag off the first phase of the Hyderabad Metro. 

GES is co-organised by the NITI Aayog and the government of the United States of America.
