On Monday (Nov 10), explosions were heard outside Red Fort, eight dead, several injured. Police and fire brigade teams have rushed to the spot. The exact cause and nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained. High alert has been issued across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Mumbai. Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has also been placed on high alert.
As reported by news agency ANI, the Delhi Fire Department received a call regarding an explosion in a car near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, after which three to four vehicles also caught fire and sustained damage. A total of 7 fire tenders have reached the spot. A team from the Delhi Police Special Cell has also reached the spot.

High alert issued in Hyderabad and Uttarakhand after a blast rocked India's national capital. The explosion occurred in a car near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station at 6:42PM.
In the wake of the explosion in a vehicle near Red Fort Metro station, all installations secured by CISF, including Delhi Metro, Red Fort, government buildings and IGI Airport, have been placed on high alert. The situation is being constantly monitored, and personnel are on standby.
Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh is reaching the LNJP hospital shortly, where the Red Fort blast victims are being brought in.
Jammu and Kashmir Police is in constant touch with investigative agencies in Delhi after the Red Fort blast. J&K police likely to be part of the investigation.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah immediately speaks with the Delhi Police Commissioner after the incident. Teams from the NSG, NIA, and the forensic department were rushed to the spot. The Home Minister remains in continuous touch with the IB Director regarding the Delhi incident.
According to the LNJP hospital, 8 bodies were brought, and around 13 injured people admitted.
