Actor Shrivallabh Vyas died on Sunday at the age of 60. He was suffering from a prolonged illness.
An alumnus of the National School of Drama, Mr Vyas acted in a slew of Bollywood films including "Lagaan" (2001), "Sarfarosh" (1999), "Aan: Men At Work" (2004), "Shool" (1999), and "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero" (2004).
But he is most famous in the role of Ishwar in the Ashutosh Gowarikar-directed film "Lagaan" in which he co-starred with Aamir Khan.
Mr Vyas reportedly suffered a paralytic attack in 2008. His family, which was suffering from financial constraints, had shifted to Jaipur. media reports said. Bollywood actors including Aamir Khan, Manoj Bajpayee and Irrfan Khan provided him with financial help for his treatment.
