The announcement has come a day after he visited the flood-affected area.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh along with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Minister KJ Alphons on Sunday undertook an aerial survey of the flood-affected regions in the state.

Singh also met the victims of the flood in Kerala and assured them of providing all resources from the central government.

He said,''I would like to assure the state government that all resources will be provided from central government to fight this flood situation.''

Meanwhile, the water level in the Idukki Dam was recorded at 2397.94 feet today at around 5 pm.
