According to reports, the placenta was still attached to the baby and the passage was also full of blood.

The local police suspect that the mother must have delivered in the commode and left the clinic.

The police are in the process of verifying the details of all the patients who had visited the clinic recently.

The body of the infant girl has been sent to the nearest medical college in Thrissur for the post-mortem. The incident happened at Dr Abdul Rahman's clinic in Palakkad’s Malappuram, Kerala.
