Kejriwal, AAP ministers continue sit-in, say no reply from PM Modi, L-G

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP ministers continued their sit-in protest at the Lt Governor's office on Friday. Kejriwal tweeted out this morning informing that the Centre has responded on the matter.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not respond, neither did the L-G, Kejriwal noted.

"Good morning, today is the fourth day of Satyendra Ji's fast. For Manish Ji it is the third day. We asked for some time from L-G Sahib yesterday, he did not even respond. We urged Prime Minister Ji to intervene, he also gave no response, hoping Delhi would find a solution soon," read his tweet.

Arvind Kejriwal, along with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Cabinet ministers Satyendar Jain and Gopal Rai, has been camping at the official accommodation-cum-office of L-G Anil Baijal since Monday evening.

The ministers seek an end to the Delhi IAS officers' undeclared strike and approval to his government's proposal for doorstep delivery of ration to the poor.

Kejriwal, on Thursday, wrote a letter to PM Modi seeking his intervention to call off the IAS officers "strike", no communication from Baijal's office was received.

On Friday, Arvind Kejriwal announced to carry out a door-to-door letter campaign from Monday against the L-G.

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, RJD MP Manoj Jha, former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha, among other political leaders, have spoken in favour of Kejriwal's protest.
