
The Shree Karni Sena of Jaipur has threatened Rajsthan's education minister, Kiran Maheshwari to chop off her nose and ears for comparing rats equating Rajputs with ''rats''.
On Monday while addressing a media conference Kiran Maheshwari was asked to comment on Sarv Rajput Samaj Sangharsh Samiti is compaigning agianst the BJP to which she reportedly responded saying that, "Aise bhi log hai jo barsati choose hain, jo chunav aate he bilon se nikal aatein hain (There are people like rainy rats who come out of their holes during election time)." 
According to media reports, the Karni Sena after holding a meeting in Jaipur warned Maheshwari to apologise for the statement immediately or will face dire consequences.
They also reportedly added that Maheshwari should have remembered the Deepika Padukone incident during the 'Padmaavat' controversy while making such remark.
However, Kiran Maheshwari later denied that she equated rats with Rajputs and clarified that she was targetting Congress. She also added that her statement was twisted to incite the community.
The Karni Sena has also said that they hold women in high regard but will not tolerate any women insulting the community.
Meanwhile, Congress' Rajsthan chief Sachin Pilot also asked Maheshwari to apologise to the community for her offensive language.
