Karnataka polls: Cong, BJP accuse each other of violation of model code of conduct

Congress and BJP accused each other of violation of model code of conduct in the poll-bound Karnataka.

The Karnataka BJP filed acomplaint against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah citing the violation of model code of conduct. BJP says CM bribed two women who welcomed him at Chamundeshwari temple in Mysuru with Rs 2,000 each.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee filed a complaint with Election Commission against BJP President Amit Shah citing the violation of model code of conduct. Congress claimed that Shah handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of killed RSS worker Raju with an intention to polarise voters in Mysuru, the complaint stated.
