The accident occurred near Malangpora area close to Air Force station.

Two other Air Force personnel have suffered injuries and are being treated at a hospital.

Sources told WION that IAF personnel were travelling in a Scorpio car when it hit a pillar adding that one among the deceased was a Squadron leader.

IAF has an operational base in Awantipora. The Air Force will conduct an inquiry.
