A terrorist was killed on Tuesday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Hafoo area of Tral in Pulwama.
The terrorist killed has been identified as Shakir Hassan Dar, a resident of Rathsuna, Tral. He was a part of Zakir Musa terrorist group and had a long history of terror crime records since 2015, news agency ANI reported.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off, more details are awaited.

Another encounter is underway in Redwani area of Kulgam. The encounter began early in the morning on Tuesday, a day after least seven Maoists and two policemen were killed in an encounter in south Chhattisgarh's Sukma near Saklar village.
Another encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in Kapran Batagund area of Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday.
