J&K: Policeman abducted, killed by terrorists in Shopian
J&K: Wreath-laying ceremony held for slain constable Javaid Ahmad Dar
The cop was earlier abducted
Terrorists today killed a policeman,Javid Ahmad Dar, after abducting himin Shopian in south Kashmir.
The abduction occurred in Kachdoora village. The policeman's body was found by locals in neighbouringKulgam's Pariwanarea.
Dar was abducted from a local medical shop in Shopian.
In another incident, a 45-year-old man was injured after being shot at by terrorists in Pulwama district of south Kashmir. The man was identified as Mohd Ashraf Thoker.
Last month, a police officer had gone missing in Pampore district of Jammu and Kashmir. The officer reportedly left Pampore police station with an AK-47 rifle.
The Kashmir Valley had witnessed theshooting of senior journalist Shujaat Bukhari and murder of rifleman Aurangzeb, who was abducted by terrorists from J&K's Pulwama district.
