J&K police constable found dead after being abducted by terrorists

A Jammu and Kashmir police official Salem Ahmed Shah was abducted and killed by terrorists from his house in Kulgam on Friday night, reports said.

Shah was on leave and was allegedly abducted by unknown militants.

“Our colleague Salem Ahmed Shah was abducted and killed by terrorists in Kulgam. We condemn this cowardly act. We all stand by his family at this critical juncture.” the Kashmir zone police tweeted.

A manhunt had been launched by security officials to trace the abducted policeman.

South Kashmir has become the hub of terror activities over the last few years where Policemen have been targeted frequently and robbed of their weapons.
