<p>The earthquake struck 118 km north-west of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said on its website.</p>

<p>Tremors were felt in various parts of the valley. No loss of life or property has been reported so far, more details are awaited.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Former J&amp;K chief minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah tweeted out, "Srinagar rocks!"</p>
