Jharkhand: Woman accused of being 'braid chopper', lynched

A woman has been lynched in Sahibgang, Jharkhand after a mob accused her of chopping off women's hair braids.

A number of women across a number of states have recently complained of waking up to find that their braids have been mysteriouslychopped off while they were sleeping.

Earlier this month, an elderly Dalit woman was lynched in Agra.She had been branded a "witch", with the mob that lynched her accusing her of chopping off women's braids.
