
A debt-ridden family of 6 members allegedly committed suicide last night in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, ANI reported.
As per media reports, while five family members hung themselves, 1 jumped off the terrace. The police have recovered three suicide notes which suggest the family battled financial crisis and debts. A power of attorney was also recovered.
The notes also reveal that the son was pushed off the terrace as the family couldn't hang him.
The family included 70-year-old Mahavir Maheswari, his 65-year-old wife Kiran Maheshwari, their son Naresh Agrawal, 40, his wife Priti Agrawal, 38, and their two kids - 8-year-old Aman and 6-year-old Anjali. The family owned a dry fruit shop.
More details are awaited, a probe is underway.
